As Chief Exec with over 40 years' experience in national and international freight and logistics within a number of major global companies, I have steered the company from small beginnings to an officially large business. The process of growth varies, but the principles, vision and commitment are constant - the journey will continue with vigour!

Stuart was one of the first Chartered Directors via the Institute of Directors Chartered Directors scheme and in 2005 went on to win Young Director of the Year. Stuart has also recently won the award for Most Outstanding Business Achievement at the Best of the Black Country Awards. Stuart remains passionate about Aspray’s independence, growth, and development of its staff.

Having previously worked within a multi national company and large PLC I have found Aspray Transport to be like a breath of fresh air. Directors, Management and Drivers working as a team to be successful, for everyone's benefit. Asprays professionalism and dedication belie the cliché image of a family transport company. Working in a company that combines ambition with financial stability has made the last seven years the most enjoyable and rewarding of my professional career.

Joining the company in 2001 following a successful career within the Motor Industry, Stuart is keen to provide a positive work environment with opportunity and stability whilst also recognising the true potential of employees through continued training and development.

Our Operations Director, Ian Barclay has spent all of his working life in the industry. He has worked for a variety of organisations, from family owned through to Blue Chip company TDG and after that spent 3 years as Sector Head with the FTA.

It was in that role he first met with the CEO & Managing Director of Aspray Transport. Ian takes up the story.
